At the very young age of 5, Egyptian born Amir aka ‘Soulfisher’ found inspiration in music. Going through his parents’ music tapes and watching music videos / shows undoubtedly consumed more of his childhood than toys.  It wasn’t long before he met and instantly fell in love with electronic music. Growing up, he was constantly influenced by the sounds of various artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells and Sandy Rivera just to name a few. Motivated purely by his music addiction and love for the club life, Soulfisher started learning the basic skills of mixing over a decade ago. His career as a DJ started in 2005 when he purchased his own equipment and mastered his already established skills. He soon began recording his sets and noticed an increasing demand for his music fairly quickly. For the following 2 years he has been spinning at house parties around the UAE (Abu Dhabi & Dubai) and Egypt (Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada), something that he still enjoys doing on a regular basis.  In 2008 he started experimenting with different production software and took an electronic music production course at SAE Institute Dubai, leading him to buying and setting up his own production studio. 

 Having lived and travelled around the world to places such as Egypt, UAE – where he is currently located, USA, Europe, Asia and Lebanon, has helped him shape his current sound which can be described as groovy deep & tech house music with a progressive edge , a twist of funk and a spoonful of Nu-disco. The talented DJ/Producer, driven by strong everlasting passion for music and a bagful of skills behind the booth, and in reading the crowd, has been putting smiles on people’s faces everywhere he spins, always leaving them asking for more. Promoters witnessing his performances , started booking him for gigs around Egypt and the UAE, giving him the opportunity to spin alongside many of the region’s top DJs such as Greg Stainer among others. Some of the venues include (but not limited to) Escape (Hilton, Abu Dhabi) – numerous ‘Moonlight Dance‘ & ‘Cosmopolitan’ Events, Oceans ( Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi),  Laguna Vista (Sharm El Sheikh) and countless boat parties (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharm El Sheikh).

Motivated by his success and fast-growing fan base, he has been spending a lot of time in the studio working on a number of production projects that would soon be released. He has been constantly receiving massive feedback on his music over the last few years. ‘ Electronic Music is the only universal language that has been bringing millions of people from different backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures together until this day’ Soulfisher.

Uniting with the ‘Audio tonic’ crew from 360 in Dubai, Soulfisher has recently earned himself a weekly residency at Pearls & Caviar - Shangri la (Abu Dhabi). In addition, event bookings show great expectations for 2011, and he is looking forward to rocking the dancefloors of the some the region’s hottest night clubs this year; See you there !
