Jade
Jade has been at the forefront of the music scene in Beirut not only as an underground dance music purveyor but also as an integral part of its rock scene.
His band "Blend" was the first rockband in the region to be signed by giants "EMI".
It took no time whatsoever for the main man to gather large crowds of clubbers in unique spots all over lebanon to throw underground parties.
Till today, Jade still manages to uphold his tradition of handing out mix CD's at all his parties.
He started his weekly radio show 'Sounds from the Basement' early in 2006 on the local radio station Mix fm. Although, Jade gets many requests to play abroad
but he's always made time to upkeep his successful weekly residency 'Electro is Dead' at The Basement every Friday night.
Together with his friend Diamond Setter, they set up their studio in Beirut and are currently producing under the pseudonym Aisha.
In parallel he's setting up B+ COLLECTIVE, consisting of a booking agency for local acts, a graphic design section, a sound production studio, a free cultural magazine and soon a digital label bonding Berlin and Beirut, in partnership with P-Toile.
Even war did not stop Jade !!! he organised fundraisers in town
(www.minimalresistance.org) and around the world (www.tobeirut.org) in coordination with The Lebanese Red Cross and with the help and support of P-Toile (Clique Bookings, Berlin), where Famous DJs and live acts like DJ Hell, Craig Richards, MANDY, Stewart Walker, Patrick Chardronnet, Dirt Crew, Kiki, Fafa Monteco, Jef K, Jennifer Cardini, Chloe, Yvan Smagghe, Ewan Pearson and many more offered their participation.
