Since the age of 16, Salar Ansari (aka Sansa) hasbeen creating and writing music, on Reason, andre-mixing tracks Live from his bedroom in Tehran.In 2009 he decided to rip open the bubble thatwas inhibiting his growth and moved to Dubai tostudy Audio Eng. at SAE.
Meanwhile he was gettinghis bachelor he started a project with his friendSiamak Amidi called “Fake Chicken & Cheap Soap”.It didn’t take long for them to sign their musicwith labels in Berlin such as “Greenhorn” and“Bondage-Music”. Soon they started flying over tothe world and playing in parties from Malaysia toBerlin and playing alongside tyrants of the musicindustry such as Namito, Alexkid, Stephan Bodzin,Superflu and others.
In 2011 Salar went through amassive change of inspiration and style thatcould not enhance in his current project so hewent back to “Sansa” and started a duo with hisbrother called “Machine Machine”. Afterexperimenting different genres and collaboratingin labs with different artists, his style hasslowly evolved and enhanced into a uniquepersonality that lives deep in the underground.Sansa does not believe in boundaries, bubbles orboxes.
He is the explorer of the world of music,producing beats across the musical spectrum, fromhip-hop and house, to techno and chill-out, andwith diverse musical background he has added truedepth to his productions. Probably all peoplethat know Salar personally, would describe him as"teddy bear", but there's nothing sweet about hisdirty bass-lines that let you not only hear histracks, but also feel them deep under your skin.
What do you love and hate about Dubai?
What i love about Dubai is that i have my friends and my family here and what i hate is not really important
Where do you like clubbing in Dubai?
i have had good nights in catwalk and the electric studio but to be honest i don't like clubbing much in dubai... its only the dj and my friends that make it a night for me
What is your plan for a future and where do you want to be in 5 years time?
im not sure where i am going to be but hopefully ny or berlin... i just want to make music and DJ ...
The best new track I've heard is....
i haven't really listened to new stuff but the odyssey album by delano smith was the most recent thing i loved .... serious music - not for kids
And tell us something that not everyone knows about you...
I have never owned a dj setup in my life ... not many ppl know that
