DJ EMIR is one of the few Parisian DJs who deserve to be known. Truly passionnate about music, he started his career by playing the guitar, bass guitar and battery. A few years later, he gave in his instruments and replaced them by two MK2 turntables and got into Dee-Jaying. Thanks to his talent, ever since 2000, he has been on numerous stages of well-known Parisian clubs such as Studio 287, Six seven, the Villa and The Amnesia. His know-how with turntables has allowed him to go abroad and to perform in such countries as Senegal, Tunisia and even Canada. Now a permanent DJ in the French radio station "Radio Soleil" on 88.6 FM, he runs the show named "Fresh Sundays" alongside Mourad where his mix is really on top. Such reknown artists as the French band 113, French rappers Kery James or Grodash, or even Deedee were welcome in this show.
He started producing in 2002 with one of his fellow partner in the dee-jaying scene DJ Koi. As a result: all of his mixtapes and vinyls sold throughout Europe have been played on the French radio station "radio FG" and all great dee-jays are now using them. DJ Herald from Serial records welcomes him on several projects as well. A lot of French reknown rappers such as L’Skadrille, Chil P, Goss du Sun and Kamel l’ancien, the latter one for whom he produces a remix with BB Naceri, were conquered by his works.In2006, the rise of his career led him to huge scenes such as the ones of Paris Bercy Palais Omnisport and Paris Zenith during Hip Hop festival alongside French bands Mafia K’1 Fry, La Brigade, rapper Rohff and many others. That same year, he opened the concerts of French reknown songstress Assia and singer Jerome Priester.
He participated to Paris candidacy to the 2012 Olympic Games by mixing during the parade in front of thousands Parisians who were attending. His success helped him to work in important radio stations like Generation in France or Radio Merin FM in Switzerland. Since the beginning of 2009, Emir has participated in many one-man shows of French performers such as Mamane, Paul Séré, Booder or even Kamel the magician at both French theaters: Trévise theater and the Gymnasium theater. After the TV show “Wech” dedicated to mix, the French channel CAP 24 decided to follow him as it was interested in being behind the scenes with him during one evening. He is still running the show “fresh Sunday” on the French radio station “Radio Soleil”. So, stay tuned!
