Ejaz Ahamed hailing from the southern regions of India with an alter ego “E-Jazz” is known for his deep, hypnotic, melodic and powerful performances on the turntables. During his earlier years, as a regular at many of the raves within the country; his obsession with electronic dance music was rooted.

His earlier influences namely James Holden, Extrawelt, Nathan Fake, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath triggered his career path towards taking command over the decks.

Over the past few years, his Djing performances were well-recognized and commended with great recognition securing his place in key events and venues within the country and abroad. His performances are deeply commanded by creating a unique experience amongst his audiences. During, 2010 Ejaz secured his place as the resident at Trilogy, Dubai which is among the lists of the world’s finest clubs. E-Jazz has played alongside artists like DJ Hell , Mauro Picotto , Matthias Tanzmann , Danny Howells, Umek, Mark Broom, Nicole Moudaber,James Zabiela, Thomas Gandey, Dinky , Robert Babicz, SOS and Funk D' Void amongst others. .

Ejaz keeps himself constantly occupied in the world of electronic music and indulges towards acquiring newer sounds that shall enhance his overall performances with both old and new technology present amongst the Djs. With, the array of upcoming technology; E-Jazz intends to create his own productions with a unique sound which will be released this ongoing year. In, conclusion E-Jazz strives to keep the audiences intrigued and connected with his performances till the final track has been delivered.

What do you love and hate about Dubai?

Love Dubai for its increased appreciation and creation of events (Music,Technology and other Fields).Now , i would say that from what Dubai used to below theres a scene be it for music or any other aspects.Increased awareness of these events to the public.

Where do you like clubbing in Dubai?

As an Resident Dj of Trilogy it is certainly one of the best places to club. Apart from which i love to Club in hidden dungeons such as Catwalk, Alpha (Presently no more) In the end clubbing isn't solely based on the club setting for me as a dj but its basedon the music that has been played at the club which creates a unique clubbing experience.

What is your plan for a future and where do you want to be in 5 years time?

In 5 years time i see myself as a producer as well as well versed and settles within the electronic scene in Dubai.I hope and believe that i ashlar be able to achieve international success and accolades as well. Also , I have list of places in my itinerary to visit which i shall visit in the coming years.

I'd describe my sound as... I play forward thinking music which involves thought provoking sounds or intelligent sounds. capturing human emotions through sound is an important element of edm and i try to play music that entices and excites a particular emotion among the crowd say for example happiness.
