He's one of the most charismatic DJs in the business, and thanks to his collaboration with Andy Ward as Soul Central, has had some huge hits to his name. A regular DJ in Dubai, and one of best party-starting spinners out there, we caught up with him ahead of his visit to N'Dulge on June 7...
You're a regular visitor to Dubai - what other countries do you regularly play in?
All over the world, the last tour I did was Japan. I love Asia, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam and Bali have been some of my recent destinations.
Describe a typical Timmy Vegas set?
I will definitely develop some kind of journey, with some real fresh underground sounds along side some classics. All with my own stamp in the form of exclusive re edits.
You've made a lot of succesful tunes over the years - what's been your favourite?I really like "Can't Make It Through Another Day", but they are like your children - you shouldn't have favourites.
You've also had a lot of aliases - have you had trouble keeping up with the different names?
Haha... yes, as Tuco said in "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" it's 'not wise to use your own name'.
You have quite a reputation as a party-loving DJ - have you been living up to that reputation recently?
No, I have slowed down quite a bit. But if I bump into some old friends in Dubai...
And what's in store for your return in June?
A fantastic party!
