If you’re an Electronic Dance Music fan, you already know about Dutch superstar DJ Nicky Romero. At just 28 years old he has already racked up an impressive 10 years of productions, label management, shows and festivals all over the globe.
With support from some of the industry’s top names including Avicii, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Hardwell and many more, Nicky Romero’s tracks have put him on the dance music map. His most viral songs include Toulose and I Could Be The One, which reached Number 1 in the UK.
Early in his career Romero began to make a name for himself through his bootlegs and remixes of top tracks, but it wasn’t until the release of Toulouse’s in 2012 that he reached mainstream success with MTV naming him as an artist to watch. After the release, he entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll at number 17, making him one of the highest new entries ever.
2012 also saw Romero launch his own label, Protocol Recordings, which has since grown to include many top producers and DJ's in the industry, including Blasterjaxx, Don Diablo and R3hab. The most notable track that the label has put out is ‘Like Home’ by NERVO, which catapulted the Australian duo to success.
Whilst Romero continues to release top quality tracks and dancefloor fillers, his performances have taken him to many of the world’s best clubs and largest festivals including Tomorrowland in Belgium, Ultra Music Festival in Miami, USA and Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.
