As residents of the UAE and neighboring regions look ahead, astronomers are forecasting that Ramadan in 2025 will likely begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025<\/strong>. This important observance in the Islamic calendar brings with it a month dedicated to reflection, prayer, and fasting for Muslims around the world.<\/p>\n

According to UAE astronomer Ibrahim Al Jarwan, who chairs the Emirates Astronomy Society<\/a>, the crescent moon that signals the start of Ramadan is projected to form on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025. This sighting would mean that the first full day of Ramadan 2025 observance will fall on March 1, 2025, although official confirmation will depend on local moon sightings<\/strong> closer to the date.<\/p>\n
