To keep up with this trend, Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, has confirmed the expansion of the charging network.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"916\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26607\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_1613745589-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1543\">Last year, the government announced <strong>plans to install over 1,000 new EV charging stations by 2030<\/strong>. More than half of that number expected to be in place within the next two years. In 2024, 100 stations were added, and now the pace is accelerating.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1841\">The UAE\u2019s plan involves working closely with the private sector and local authorities to build an efficient, widespread charging network. This will make it <strong>easier for EV drivers to travel confidently without worrying about finding a charging point<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1843\" data-end=\"2071\">In addition to expanding charging infrastructure, the UAE is also increasing its renewable energy capacity.
