The city has kicked off <strong>four major projects under the wider &#8220;Tasreef&#8221; initiative<\/strong> \u2014 a long-term plan to boost how Dubai handles rainwater.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The latest contracts, worth AED 1.439 billion, will bring <strong>over 36 km of new drainage pipelines to different parts of the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31366\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/shutterstock_2450626079.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/shutterstock_2450626079.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/shutterstock_2450626079-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/shutterstock_2450626079-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/shutterstock_2450626079-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"zxx\">These <strong>drainage improvements will cover several busy and flood-prone parts of Dubai<\/strong>, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jumeirah<\/li>\n<li>Al Quoz<\/li>\n<li>Nad Al Hamar<\/li>\n<li>Al Garhoud<\/li>\n<li>Al Wasl<\/li>\n<li>Al Rashidiya<\/li>\n<li>Zabeel<\/li>\n<li>Al Badaa<\/li>\n<li>Areas around Dubai International Airport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project aims to <strong>cut down the risk of flooding, especially during heavy storms, by building smarter, more sustainable infrastructure<\/strong>. It will connect different drainage systems across the city, improving how water flows during bad weather.
