The country\u2019s <strong>longest tourist walkway<\/strong> is now in development, connecting <strong>Nakhal Fort to Ain Al Thawwarah Park through a scenic 3-kilometre route<\/strong> that highlights the area\u2019s rich natural and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The new path aims to support rural tourism and open up economic opportunities for local communities. Visitors will <strong>walk through agricultural villages, natural springs, and traditional aflaj irrigation systems<\/strong> along the picturesque Wadi Nakhal.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35520\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_2421283467.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_2421283467.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_2421283467-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_2421283467-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_2421283467-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Saleh Al Busaidi, Wali of Nakhal, the goal is to make this historically and ecologically rich region more accessible while empowering residents to participate in its tourism economy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Project details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>walkway will be developed in phases<\/strong>, with the first kilometre already planned and construction of later sections to follow.<\/li>\n<li>The path will be <strong>built using paved stone or interlocking materials<\/strong> and will include <strong>eco-friendly lighting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public amenities<\/strong> will be added along the route to enhance the visitor experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To reduce traffic and crowding at Nakhal\u2019s most visited landmarks, the project also includes electric shuttles to ferry tourists between the fort and the park.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35521\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_560004865.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_560004865.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_560004865-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_560004865-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/shutterstock_560004865-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Local farmers whose lands border the walkway<\/strong> will be invited <strong>to create small-scale ventures such as eco-lodges, caf\u00e9s, and other tourism-related services<\/strong>.
