A new hybrid <strong>visa extension system<\/strong> is now in effect, <strong>requiring both online registration and an in-person visit to the immigration office<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As of last month, Indonesia reversed its 2024 update that allowed many visa extensions to be done entirely online. This new requirement applies across Indonesia, including popular destinations like Bali. The change comes in response to a 36.7% rise in immigration violations from 2024 to 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37524\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_2232863105.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_2232863105.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_2232863105-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_2232863105-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_2232863105-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re travelling with the UAE passport or residency, the <strong>Visa on Arrival (VoA) or electronic VoA (eVoA)<\/strong> remains the most straightforward option for visiting Indonesia. It costs IDR 500,000 (approximately AED 120), is<strong> valid for 30 days<\/strong>, and <strong>can be extended once<\/strong> for a total stay of 60 days.<\/p>\n<p>To extend their stay in the country, <strong>all foreign nationals \u2013 including UAE residents \u2013 holding a Visa on Arrival (VoA) or eVisa<\/strong> must complete the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register online at <a href=\"https:\/\/evisa.imigrasi.go.id\/\" target=\"_new\">evisa.imigrasi.go.id<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Upload all necessary documents and complete the form<\/li>\n<li>Visit the nearest immigration office within 2 working days for photo capture, fingerprinting, and a short interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37523\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_389466796.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_389466796.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_389466796-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_389466796-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/shutterstock_389466796-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Under the new system, extending your visa now means scheduling an <strong>appointment at the nearest immigration office for a quick interview and document check<\/strong>. While no additional paperwork is officially required, it\u2019s a good idea to have a return flight booking, hotel reservation, or proof of funds just in case.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, there have been other visa changes travellers should know about. A <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/us-visa-to-include-new-usd-250-integrity-fee-for-travellers-from-2026-here-are-all-details\/\">new USD 250 integrity fee will be introduced for US visa applicants<\/a> starting in 2026<\/strong>.
