The enhancements come as part of the Roads and Transport Authority\u2019s (RTA) effort to improve the quality and efficiency of bus services in the emirate.<\/p>\n<p>Improvements were carried out at nine bus stations in Deira and seven in Bur Dubai. These stations support around 110 bus routes and handle a peak-hour capacity of approximately 710 buses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29495\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_2039861396.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_2039861396.jpg 750w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_2039861396-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/shutterstock_2039861396-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Renovations included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgraded <strong>passenger waiting areas<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Rebuilt pavements<\/strong> and enhanced building facades<\/li>\n<li>Designated <strong>prayer areas at select stations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Six key bus depots were also upgraded in Al Khawaneej, Al Qusais, Al Ruwayah, Al Awir, Jebel Ali, and Al Quoz.<\/p>\n<p>The RTA has also signed an agreement <strong>to add 637 new public buses to the fleet in 2025 and 2026<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>451 city buses tailored for high-density and developing areas<\/li>\n<li>146 buses that meet Euro 6 low-emission standards \u2014 a first for the Middle East and North Africa<\/li>\n<li>40 fully electric buses from Zhongtong, each 12 metres long and able to carry 72 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31533\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-1024x512.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51-150x75.jpg 150w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Gop_a3BWsAAT2t51.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new vehicles aim to expand geographic coverage across Dubai, support sustainability goals, and improve occupancy levels in public transport.<\/p>\n<p>To stay up to date with public transport updates, make sure to check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/all-changes-to-public-bus-routes-in-dubai-just-announced-by-rta\/\"><strong>recent changes to Dubai\u2019s public bus routes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dubai\u2019s public transport network is getting a major boost with the upgrade of 22 bus stations across the city, including 16 passenger stations and 6 major depots.
