Some Indian travellers to Malaysia have recently faced issues at the airport<\/strong>, despite the country\u2019s policy of offering visa-free entry to Indian passport holders. Several individuals have been refused entry due to being placed on a ‘Not to Land’ (NTL) notice list. The incidents have raised some confusion around the 30-day visa-free entry scheme Malaysia introduced for Indian nationals earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this situation, the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur issued an advisory to clarify the 30-day visa-free entry rules. The Commission noted that many travellers misunderstood the policy, assuming it allowed for employment in Malaysia. However, the visa-free entry is intended for tourism, business, social, or transit purposes only<\/strong>, not for working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
