If you share your home with a dog or cat in Abu Dhabi, this update is worth your attention. Animal Owner System is coming into effect, making pet registration mandatory<\/strong> across the emirate. And it isn\u2019t a \u201csomeday\u201d task. You\u2019ve got until Tuesday, February 3 to sort it without penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abu Dhabi Municipality has confirmed that all dogs and cats in the emirate must now be registered under the animal ownership service<\/strong>. This applies to individuals and businesses. If your pet isn\u2019t registered after February 3, you could be fined AED 1,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Register Your Dog or Cat in Abu Dhabi<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Registration is free and handled through the TAMM platform<\/a><\/strong>. You can complete it at any licensed veterinary clinic in Abu Dhabi, so there\u2019s no need for extra trips or paperwork runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your pet must be older than 12 weeks to receive a registration certificate and all required vaccinations must be completed first. If your pet is younger, a personal file number is issued until the vaccinations are done and the age requirement is met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
