Starting Monday, February 9, the <strong>speed limits on three of the capital\u2019s busiest roads will be lowered<\/strong>, so make sure you adjust accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Abu Dhabi \u2013 Al Ain Road (E22)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The limit will drop from 160 km\/h to 140 km\/h between Al Nahda Interchange and Bani Yas Interchange, in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Bani Yas Interchange area<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Reduction from 140 km\/h to 120 km\/h all the way to the Bridge Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Al Rawdah Road (E30)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Limit lowered from 120 km\/h to 100 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Joint Traffic Safety Committee announces a reduction in the maximum speed limits on selected main roads in Abu Dhabi and urges drivers to adhere to safe driving practices and comply with the designated speed limits, in the interest of their safety. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DMb86noqRn\">pic.twitter.com\/DMb86noqRn<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u0623\u0628\u0648\u0638\u0628\u064a \u0644\u0644\u062a\u0646\u0642\u0644 | AD Mobility (@ad_mobility) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ad_mobility\/status\/2018970838557696425?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 4, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been several <strong>other speed limit changes in Abu Dhabi in 2025<\/strong> that drivers need to know about. In April, the speed limits were reduced on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11) and the Abu Dhabi to Sweihan Road (E20). Check the <strong>details <a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/abu-dhabi-new-speed-limits-on-e11-and-e20-highways-full-details-map\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That same month, the minimum <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/abu-dhabi-removes-minimum-speed-limit-on-e311-sheikh-mohammed-bin-rashid-road\/\">speed limit was also removed<\/a><\/strong> <strong>on E311<\/strong> Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2025, a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/everything-to-know-about-variable-speed-limit-on-sheikh-zayed-bin-sultan-street-in-abu-dhabi\/\">variable speed limit system<\/a><\/strong> was introduced on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street, where speeds now change depending on factors like weather conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drivers must be focused on many things when hitting the road, but now there\u2019s a bit more to keep in mind when driving in Abu Dhabi.
