If you live in the UAE, you probably don\u2019t even notice how common English is in day-to-day life. From menus to signs to work emails, it\u2019s everywhere. The country\u2019s official language, Arabic, is about to take up more space in daily life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UAE is working on a new Arabic Language Law, expected to be fully outlined in 2026-27<\/strong>. During a Federal National Council session, The Ministry of Culture created a plan to make Arabic more present in daily life, including areas like public communication and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arabic is already supported through book fairs and school programs. Literature festivals in the country regularly feature local titles and authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, more than 38,000 books in Arabic were added to Amazon\u2019s Digital Arabic Library<\/a><\/strong>, marking a major milestone for the language and making Arabic titles more accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the new law, Arabic takes a more visible place in daily life, reflecting its role as the country\u2019s official language. At the same time, the UAE will remain a multinational country where English is still widely used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More details about Arabic Language Law are expected later in 2026 and into 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
