The festival continues <strong>at Manarat Al Saadiyat until May 24<\/strong> with independent films, live Q&amp;As and a silent Charlie Chaplin classic accompanied by DJ music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, here\u2019s what\u2019s in store for you at CineMAS 2026 this week:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 21<\/strong>: UAE short films curated by Abdulrahman Al Madani, including <em>Oug<\/em>, <em>Yathoom<\/em>, <em>A Small Dream<\/em>, <em>The Battle<\/em>, <em>Noor<\/em> and <em>Unsaid<\/em>. After the screening, the directors join the audience for a live Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friday, May 22<\/strong>: Jim Jarmusch\u2019s <em>Father, Mother, Sister, Brother<\/em>, winner of the Golden Lion at Venice. The film follows siblings facing old family tension while reconnecting with emotionally distant parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PA07EmbZ0b0?si=evUbhZgIImnY1TNk\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 23<\/strong>: <em>Sirat<\/em> by Oliver Laxe. The film follows a father and son searching for Mar, their missing daughter and sister, through southern Morocco\u2019s mountains, deserts and rave gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 24<\/strong>, starts with Erige Sehiri\u2019s <em>Promised Sky<\/em>, set in Tunis and told in French and Arabic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that evening, CineMAS 2026 closes at Taparelle with Charlie Chaplin\u2019s <em>The Kid<\/em> and a live DJ performance by Amin Fari.
