From June 1, a new 5% VAT will apply to the following services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dubai parking services<\/strong> (on-street and off-street parking, seasonal parking cards, permits and reservations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Salik toll gate charge<\/strong>s and Salik <strong>tag activation<\/strong> fees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The parking and toll tariffs themselves are not changing. VAT will be collected on behalf of the UAE Federal Tax Authority under local regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>June 1 will also bring several other changes in the UAE, including a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/public-safety-law-in-dubai-new-rules-for-beaches-venues-and-public-spaces-from-june-2026\/\">new public safety law<\/a><\/strong>.
