The popular gaming platform has launched <strong>two special account types for kids under 16: Roblox Kids and Roblox Select<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before a game appears in these kids accounts, Roblox checks it closely. By default, games with sensitive issues, social hangouts and free-form drawing features are excluded. Chat is switched off by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roblox Select<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Roblox Select is <strong>for players 9 to 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This account can include games rated up to Moderate, as long as they pass Roblox\u2019s review process. Chat access depends on the player\u2019s age and location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For UAE users: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/roblox-chat-temporarily-disabled-in-uae-new-safety-measures-explained\/\">Roblox chat remains unavailable<\/a> for users of all ages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Changes for Parents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents get more control when they link a parent account to a child\u2019s Roblox account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View gameplay activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check friend lists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust communication settings and manage direct chat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set screen time limits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage spending limits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Block specific games and approve individual games<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/shutterstock_2655090855.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40912\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/shutterstock_2655090855.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/shutterstock_2655090855-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/shutterstock_2655090855-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/shutterstock_2655090855-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some parental controls will now stay available until a child turns 16, including specific game blocking and direct chat management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roblox has already faced restrictions in the region. <strong>Saudi Arabia previously <a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/roblox-blocks-300000-games-in-saudi-arabia-to-protect-kids\/\">blocked more than 300,000 Roblox games<\/a><\/strong> to protect kids, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/roblox-now-fully-blocked-in-egypt-is-it-gone-forever\/\">Egypt fully blocked the platform<\/a><\/strong>.
