Some of the locations include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Manama<\/strong>: Diplomatic Area intersections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seef District<\/strong>: major junctions around Seef Mall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Riffa<\/strong>: key intersections on main roads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Muharraq<\/strong>: major intersections and nearby roads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The next phase continues with <strong>another 100 smart traffic cameras in September 2026<\/strong>, followed by <strong>100 more in October 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/shutterstock_772891498.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29847\" srcset=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/shutterstock_772891498.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/shutterstock_772891498-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/shutterstock_772891498-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/shutterstock_772891498-150x75.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new system does much more than check speed. High-definition infrared sensors can detect several traffic offences at once, spotting mobile phone use and seatbelt violations through windshields, even after dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some violations and how much they can cost:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mobile phone use: <strong>BHD 50<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No seatbelt: <strong>BHD 20<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red light violation: <strong>BHD 500<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speeding: <strong>BHD 20 to BHD 500<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Another important update in Bahrain: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/platinumlist.net\/guide\/bahrain-is-banning-thin-plastic-bags-from-august-20\/\">thin plastic bags will be banned from August 20<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More smart traffic cameras are coming to Bahrain streets, so if you&#8217;re behind the wheel regularly, here&#8217;s what to know before the next drive.
