Award-winning Indian playback singer Kanika Kapoor has one of the most recognisable voices in Bollywood.
Following her studies, Kapoor moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in music. In 2012 she released her collaboration with Dr. Zeus titled Jugni Ji. The song became one of the biggest singles of 2012, earning her the Brit Asia TV Music Award for Best Single.
Following the success of ‘Jugni Ji’, Kapoor sang ‘Baby Doll’ for the 2014 film Ragini MMS 2. Kapoor’s Bollywood debut song saw her shoot to the top, winning Number One Song of the Year in the Mirchi Music Awards and Kapoor went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
Kapoor went on to perform North America tour, SLAM! The Tour, alongside Deepika Padukone and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Kapoor reunited with Anjjan from the Meet Bros in 2015 to record the song Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan for the movie Roy.
Kapoor has had an illustrious career that has produced numerous high-charting singles and soundtracks for successful Bollywood movies. She has also performed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Wembley Stadium, London.
