Born in Leningrad, Andrey Baranov is one of the most successful violinists of his time. An exemplary soloist, Baranov is also one of the most sought-after ensemble partners amongst fellow musicians.
Baranov performs on main stages and festivals in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
In 2012, Baranov won the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition. Throughout his musical career, he bagged several awards including the Benjamin Britten and Henri Marteau International Violin Competitions, along with more than twenty other international competitions, including Indianapolis, Seoul, Sendai, Qingdao, UNISA, Liana Issakadze, David Oistrakh, and the Moscow Paganini Competition.
