American hip-hop artist Danny Brown is known across the world for his individuality and unique style resulting in millions of record sales and accolades. Hailing from Detroit, Brown got caught up in gang culture before concentrating on his music career. He moved to New York and eventually released his debut album, The Hybrid, in 2010.
Brown followed his first album with 2011’s XXX album on Fool’s Gold Records, but it wasn’t until his third album, Old, released in 2013 that the rapper found chart success. The album peaked at number 3 on the US Rap chart, sold 15,000 copies in the first week and featured vocals from ASAP Rocky, Charli XCX and more.
Danny Brown’s fourth studio album, Atrocity Exhibition, released in 2016 on Warp Records and even included an appearance from Kendrick Lamar. The album was well-received by critics, rating highly in publications such as Rolling Stone, The Guardian and Vice. It peaked at number 5 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
As a performer, Brown has been invited all over the world to showcase his talents. Notable shows have included opening for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and for Eminem to a sold-out Wembley Stadium in London. The rapper has also made numerous appearances on television shows and in publications.
