Dan Patlansky

Dan Patlansky

South African singer and musician Daniel Patlansky is rapidly becoming one of the hottest names in Blues music. Despite being a young talent in an aging genre, Patlansky has taken inspiration from the likes of Hendrix and Vaughan and used it to create exciting music.

Patlansky’s debut album ‘Standing at the Station’ put him on the map and gained attention and praise from many South African critics. The album’s success saw Patlansky become the Reader’s Choice of Best Blues Guitarist in Southern Africa.

Patlansky released his second album, True Blues, in 2004. The album was once again well received and lead to Patlansky being offered an endorsement deal with the renowned Fender Guitars.

Patlansky continued his rise to the top of the Blues world with further releases including ‘Real’ in 2007 and ‘Move My Soul’ in 2009. He has also performed all over the world and, for a brief period, lived in New Orleans, playing at the world-famous Maple Leaf, Rock & Bowl and Checkpoint Charlie clubs.

During Patlansky’s brief but meteoric career he has also shared the stage and collaborated with many Blues legends and staple artists. His time in New Orleans saw him work with Henry Gray, The Batiste Family and Rockin Dopsie Jr, and his world tours have seen Patlanskyalongside Guy Buttery, Steve Fataar, Valiant Swart and Albert Frost.
