Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias is one of the world’s leading pop artists and is highly regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Having had a career that has spanned 3 decades, he has topped charts around the world, sold millions of singles and has been awarded multiple awards for his unique and entertaining vocal style.

Born in Madrid to well-known singer Julio Iglesias, he had a love for music from a young age. In 1995 he released his debut album, which sold over half a million copies in the first week. Iglesias released another Spanish album, Vivir, in 1997, which established him as one of the leading Spanish artists in the world.

Iglesias made his first foray into English pop stardom with the release of Bailamos, which was featured on Will Smith’s 1999 movie Wild Wild West. The song put Iglesias into the limelight and saw him released the album ‘Enrique’ which led to a Super Bowl halftime show alongside Christina Aguilera, Phil Collins and Toni Braxton.

The following year Iglesias released ‘Escape’ which became his most well-known and successful album to date. The album included the songs ‘Escape’ and ‘Don’t Turn Off The Lights’ topping the UK, Canadian and Austrian album charts it was repeatedly certified Gold and Platinum around the world. Iglesias then released a fourth Spanish album before coming back with the albums ‘7’ and ‘Insomniac’.

The 2007 album Insomniac included the single ‘Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song)’, which became a hit throughout Europe and even topped the US Latin Singles Chart. In 2010 Iglesias released ‘Euphoria’, his ninth album and won numerous awards including the Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The album featured several high-profile collaborations including Usher, Pitbull and Akon. 2014 saw Iglesias release his most recent album ‘Sex and Love’. The album received widespread praise, topping the Spanish album chart.

Having sold over 150 million records worldwide Iglesias has also received over 220 awards including the 1997 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album and eight American Music Awards for Favorite Latin Artist.
