Dutch duo East & Young have risen to the top of the electronic dance music charts in recent years through their unique sound and ability to make house music fans around the world dance to their live sets. Marc Vano and Ivo de Jong, the duo behind East & Young, came together in 2008 and have since released numerous singles on many of dance music’s top labels including Ultra, Fly Eye and Chillbeat.
The school friends released their debut track ‘Reveal’ on Spinnin’ Records and received widespread praise as well as support from fellow DJs on radio shows and in live sets. They continued to work on their music, ultimately joining up with Magnetize Records for 4 singles in 2009 and 2010.
East & Young then found their Coda EP being signed to Calvin Harris’ Flye Eye Records in 2012. The EP was very well received and saw the pair receive invitations to perform at clubs and festivals around the world. The following year they signed a deal with Ultra and Sony, releasing their first single ‘Starting Again’ with them the same year.
Since then they released Jupiter on Ultra and two collaborations on Big Beat Records in 2015 which saw them work with Galantis and David Spekter. Known for their original works, East & Young have also made a name for themselves through their ability to remix well-known tracks from the likes of Kaskade, Dizzee Rascal and DJ Fresh.
