A pop colossus, David Guetta has reigned supreme at the top of the charts for nearly a decade thanks to his effortless blend of pop and dance music. The Parisian DJ first burst onto the house music scene in 2002 with his excellent album, Just A Little More Love, but it wasn’t until his 2009 album ‘One Love’ that Guetta truly made it into the mainstream.
A string of big hits including ‘When Love Takes Over,’ ‘Sexy B*tch’ and ‘Memories’ propelled him into the pop stratosphere where he proceeded to sell over 9 million albums, 30 million singles and sell millions of tickets to his high energy house and EDM gigs. In 2013, his collaboration with Kelly Rowland on ‘When Love Takes Over’ was named by Billboard as the number one dance-pop collaboration of all time, and his dance music Midas touch hasn’t deserted him as he’s since worked with Sam Smith, Rihanna and Nicky Minaj creating more chart-topping classics. David Guetta is no stranger to Dubai having played here extensively during his career, notably playing several sold out shows to thousands of fans at Creamfields UAE. He’s been nominated for 6 Grammys in total, winning one in 2010 and another in 2011.
David Guetta’s reign at the top of the dance-pop charts shows no sign of slowing down, with more singles and sold out gigs across the world confirmed for 2017.
