American wrestler Dolph Ziggler is one of the top wrestlers in the world having reached the top of the WWE when he won the Heavyweight Championship in 2011. Ziggler repeated this feat again in 2013 and has also added five Intercontinental Championship titles to his record.
Having become a respected college wrestler, with 121 wins and three championships, Ziggler made a move to WWE in 2004 joining Ohio Valley Wrestling. With the outfit he began to hone his skills and develop his personality before joining up with The Spirit Squad with whom he won the World Tag Team Championship.
Ziggler continued to move around the US joining up with Florida Championship Wrestling before finally being drafted to SmackDown in 2009. It was in July 2010 that he defeated Kofi Kingston to win his first WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Ziggler reached the top of wrestling in 2011 when he was awarded the World Heavyweight Championship. He again won the title in 2013 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract.
The following years saw Ziggler become a dominating figure in the Intercontinential Championship, winning it 3 times in 2014 after fights with The Miz and Luke Harper and most recently in 2016 when he defeated The Miz for the third time. His performances in 2014 also saw him become Rolling Stone’s Wrestler of the Year.
