Indian model and actress Gauahar Khan is one of the leading actresses in Bollywood at the moment. Praised for her wide range, taking her from thriller to romance and everything in between, Khan has been the lead in several successful films and has established herself as one of the most in-demand stars in the industry.
With her older sister, Nigaar Khan, already involved in acting, Khan moved into a modeling career, seeing her feature for a number of fashion designer including Ritu Kumar and Manish Malhotra, before participating in the Miss International contest, representing India. Her popularity had begun to grow, and was boosted by appearances on the dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, becoming the runner-up in season 3.
Khan made her acting debut in the 2009 film ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’, for which she was widely praised. Her next film credit came in 2011’s ‘Game’ alongside Abhishek Bachchan, before appearing in ‘Ishaqzaade’ the following year.
Khan then stepped over to television in 2013, participating in the reality show ‘Big Boss 7’, making headlines across the country when she won at the end of the year, through popular vote. The film credits began again in 2015 and onwards, with appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote 2016’s ‘Fever’ and ‘Begum Jaan’ in 2017.
