Gloc-9 is one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the Philippines, winning over 20 music awards given by Awit Awards, FAMAS, Myx Music Awards, Philippine Hip-hop Awards and more.
He started to join the mainstream music scene in 2002 and has collaborated with several OPM artists namely, Parokya ni Edgar, the late Francis M. and Noel Cabangon, among others. Some of his biggest singles are “Magda”, “Hari ng Tondo” and “Simpleng Tao”, with prevailing song messages on poverty, and love for country and countrymen.
He arranged and recorded songs made to be the official soundtracks for several Star Cinema films like "Trip" and "Jologs". Due to his incredible talent, fellow Filipino rapper, Francis M, described him as "a blacksmith of words and letters, and a true Filipino poet."
During the year 2014 and 2015, he released 2 live albums named “Biyahe ng Pangarap” and “Mga Kwento ng Makata” respectively.
To date, he has released 8 studio albums, with the most recent entitled “Sukli”.
