Charles Aznavour is an Actor, Singer-songwriter with nearly 1,500 songs recorded, 1,400 written and some 185 million records sold in 8 languages. Born in the 1920’s, and having begun his career at the age of 9, his career has spanned over 8 decades. Being born into a French-Armenian family, the living legend has clearly seen the best and worst of it all, but fortunately chooses to see the positive in everything. Such kind of attitude is possibly what shows through his charming demeanor and voice. With a French chanson style of performing, most of his music has touches of blues, jazz, classic French rhythms and good amount of mesmerizing poetry.
Dubbed as France’s “Frank Sinatra”, Aznavour clearly has his own “Aznavourian” style and one that many fans, old and new, still look forward to catching. It is little wonder that Aznavour still packs venues to this day, for the beauty and soothing energy of his shows are hardly comparable.
