Calvin Harris, born Adam Richaed Wiles, is a Scottish DJ, producer and singer-songwriter. With a keen interest in electronic music from a young age, Harris began recording demos in his bedroom at the age of 15 and sharing his music through sites such as MySpace. His rise to fame began in 2006 when his music caught the attention of a record label, following which he was signed by Sony BMG. Harris released his debut album ‘I Created Disco’ in 2007, which spawned the hits ‘Acceptable in the 80s’ and ‘The Girls’, which rose to top 10 in the UK Singles chart. The album sold more than 100,000 copies.
Harris’ 2012 release, "Feel So Close", from his third studio album ‘18 Months’, became his first entry into the Billboard Hot 100 in the US at number 12. The same year, Harris broke the record for the most top songs from a single studio album, surpassing Michael Jackson.
