Russell Howard is currently one of the hottest comedians on the UK comedy scene. The Bristolian comedian, known for his appearances on television panel shows including Mock The Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats has built a career based around funny observations of the world around him, notably coming from hilarious stories about his upbringing and slightly unusual antics of his family.
Russell’s television career also took a giant leap when he launched Russell Howard’s Good News in 2009 which features satirical comedy on current affairs and has given a breakthrough platform to a number of UK comedians and performers.
Since 2016 he has also featured heavily on Comedy Central who have shown his stand-up performances and a travel documentary series called ‘Russell Howard & Mum: USA Road Trip’. Towards the end of the year he also signed a deal with Sky 1, where he would write and star in a weekly comedy series.
Off the silver screen, Howard has also enjoyed success as a stand-up comedian following a nomination for an if.comedy award at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and subsequent features at the world-renowned event. He has also gone on to perform in the UK’s largest and best comedy venues including the Hammersmith Apollo, Wembley Arena and Manchester’s MEN Arena.
Russell has also been on tour a number of times, most recently with the ‘Right Here Right Now’ and ‘Wonderbox’ tours, before the announcement in 2015 that he will be going on tour in the early months of 2017 in a tour called ‘Round The World’.
