Starting off his career as a radio jockey, Ayushmann eventually became one of the most popular actors in India. His career took off with his debut-acting role in the film Vicky Donor, which gained widespread critical and commercial success, becoming one of the biggest hits of the year.
His effortless acting won him several highly prestigious awards, making his mark in the Bollywood industry. Khurrana received many accolades for his performance in Vicky Donor including, Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and Best Male Playback Singer. He is also the youngest person to have received the Bharat Nirman Award in New Delhi.
Following on from his success in Vicky Donor, Khurrana starred and sang in subsequent movies Nautanki Saala, Bewakoofiyaan, Hawaizaada and Sum Laga Ke Haisha.
Despite his popularity in the film industry, Khurrana did not quit his roots TV roots. He is also well known as a host for MTV shows like MTV Fully Faltoo Movies and MTV Roadies, Cheque De India and Jaadoo Ek Baar. He also hosted the second season of MTV Rock On, India’s Got Talent and Just Dance. In other words, Khurrana is an all-round talented host and actor, fronting leading shows in the industry.
Currently, he is filming a selection of movies, including two in which he stars opposite Bhumi Pednekar and Parineeti Chopra.
