John grew up in Cairo, Egypt and in Khartoum, Sudan and in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended school in Chicago for Ethnomusicology, with an emphasis in guitar.
He is an avid songwriter who released his debut album ‘The Sands of Time Are Sinking’ in 2018. His melodies are a complex hybrid of pop-folk fusion where East meets West, which are bound to take audiences across wild melodic terrains.
