English soprano Mary Bevan made her Royal Opera House debut singing Lila (The Firework-Maker’s Daughter, world premiere) in the Linbury Studio Theatre in 2013 with Mahogany Opera Group.
She has since sung for The Royal Opera Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) on the main stage, Euridice (Orfeo) at the Roundhouse and the title role in Rossi’s Orpheus at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, Shakespeare’s Globe. In the 2017/18 Season she sings the title role in the world premiere of Coraline at the Barbican for The Royal Opera.
Mary Bevan is also praised by Opera for her “dramatic wit and vocal control” in stand out performances on opera and concert platforms.
