British pop music boy-band Take That were one of the leading acts in the UK in the 1990s. Having sold millions of copies and topped charts around the world, the band has gone on to tour the world, performing for millions of fans worldwide.
Formed in 1990, the band, which comprised of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, have released eight studio albums, all of them charting in second or first place on the UK Album Charts. The most notable albums were 1995’s ‘Nobody Else’ and 2010’s ‘Progress’, which topped charts around the world and were certified multiple times Platinum in the process.
Take That have also enjoyed similar success with many of their single releases. Having already had 4 Top Ten singles, Take That’s first Chart-topper came in 1993 with ‘Pray’, before following it up with ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Back for Good’, Patience’ and ‘Shine’ amongst others. In total, throughout their three-decade long career, Take That have gone on to sell over 9 million records.
The band have also been formally recognized numerous times for their work winning three Ivor Novello Awards, eight BRIT Awards and two Q Awards, including the 2006 Q Idol Award for Best Live Act.
Take That are also renowned for their live performances. Having been on ten world-tours promoting their albums and discography, they have also been guests at many of the world’s leading festivals including Glastonbury, the Apple Music Festival and BST Hyde Park.
