Biography & Career Mohammed Irfan, a prominent Indian playback singer known for his captivating vocals in Hindi cinema, has also showcased his talent in various regional languages including Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi. Born in Hyderabad, Irfan discovered his passion for music during his schooling at All Saints High School. His exceptional talent was recognized by his teacher, Ramachari, who provided him with formal training in music. Irfan's dedication was evident as he actively participated in school events and eventually gained recognition as the winner of the title Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star 2. He also participated in popular singing competitions such as Amul STAR Voice of India and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 as part of Ismail Darbar's Yalgaar Ho Gharana.
Irfan's breakthrough in Bollywood came when veteran singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam noticed his exceptional talent during a concert at a musical institute in Hyderabad. Impressed by his skills, Balasubramaniam recommended him to the legendary A.R. Rahman. This led Rahman to invite Irfan to lend his background vocals to the song "Behene De" in the 2010 film Raavan, alongside Karthik.
