Pakistani Punjab folk singer Arif Lohar is one of the leading talents in the folk music scene. The son of veteran folk singer Alam Lohar, Arif found himself pursing a music career from an young age, establishing himself as one of the top Punjabi singers and performing all over the world.

Lohar has recorded numerous singles and albums throughout his career, earning him a significant fan base across the region. He has been widely praised by critics and music fans alike. Some of Lohar’s most famous works include ‘Punjab Bolda’, from the 2013 Punjabi film of the same name; the title track for the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, which went on to earn over $16 million at the box-office, and the internet hit ‘Alif Allah’ which was recorded at Coke Studio and gained over 34 million views on YouTube, becoming one of the most viewed songs in Pakistan.

Having amassed a discography with over 150 albums and 3,000 songs, Lohar was formally recognized by the Government of Pakistan with the Pride of Performance Award in 2005. Lohar has also become a hit with the international community, having performed over 50 tours abroad, including high profile shows in the UK and USA, as well as at the 2004 Asian Games opening ceremony in China, to an audience over almost 1 million people.
