McGettigan’s is heading back to Media City Amphitheatre in April to stage a fabulous all-day music festival, headlined by Irish favourites The Script. Since St. Patrick’s Day itself falls in Ramadan this year, the ‘Late Late Paddy’s Party’ will be held on Saturday April 12th, extending the celebrations of all things Irish with a full day of live music, culminating in a headline concert under the stars from The Script! Expect to hear all the hits and more at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre at arguably the best venue in Dubai to enjoy a live concert. Rock band The Coronas are one of the hottest acts to come out of Ireland. With four studio albums under their belts, countless awards and millions of fans across the globe they are undoubtedly an in-demand and ever-popular band.
The band released their first album, Heroes or Ghosts, in 2007. The album went on to reach No. 18 in the Irish Albums Chart and brought them to the forefront of Irish media as they made appearances on several of the nation’s most popular shows.
Two years after their first, The Coronas released their second album, Tony Was an Ex-Con. The album took the top spot on the Irish iTunes Album Chart and spurred an American and Asian tour. The album also won Best Album at the 2010 Meteor Awards.
The Coronas continued their success with 2011’s Closer to You album which also reached No. 3 in Ireland. The album was also well received in the UK and gained the band more support. Following an Australia tour, The Coronas released All the Others, the lead single from their fourth album, The Long Way. The single went on to reach No. 3 in Ireland and became the band’s most successful hit to date.
The Coronas have performed across the world at various shows, concerts and festivals. Their most notable performances include a show for President Barack Obama in 2011, support for The Script on their European Tour and support for Justin Timberlake in 2013.
