Born in a small town in Nova Scotia, Canadian Peter White has had a fast rise to fame as a comic. Just a year after first picking up the mic the stand-up was listed as one of the Top 5 upcoming comedians in Canada by CBC Radio. Since then, he has brought his self-depreciating brand of comedy to stages around the world.
After gaining initial success, the funny man headlined Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival and performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival, three years consecutively. In 2010 he recorded an hour-long comedy special for CTV and Comedy Network, which was when he decided to move to the UK where his success continued.
White quickly established himself as one of the top acts on the London comedy circuit and toured the UK as one of the most enduring comics on the scene. As a top act he has also been invited to film for Comedy Central’s Comedy Store Live show at the prestigious London venue.
As a writer, Peter has also proven himself to be just as talented as he is on stage, writing for the Gemini Award-winning ‘The Hour Has 22 Minutes’ and also picking up nominations for a Writer’s Guild of Canada Award and a Canadian Comedy Award. White has also written for ‘That’s So Weird’ and numerous articles for newspapers and magazines, including Vice.
