Biography & Career
Elissa is a Lebanese singer and one of the richest female Middle Eastern artists. She was born in a religious family and grew up with her three brothers and two sisters.
Elissa got a degree in political science. Despite that, she has always been interested in singing. Elissa singer appeared when the girl won the silver medal in the Studio El Fan competition. After her first album Baddy Doub (I Want to Melt Away) had been released, she was invited to represent shampoo brand Head & Shoulders which made Elissa one of the most recognized Arabic singers.
In 2000 Elissa`s new song "Betghib Betrouh" which she sang with Ragheb Alama was introduced. It was on the list of her second album which brought her an award of Best Female Artist. In 2022 Elissa collaborated with an Irish singer Chris de Burgh in the duet "Lebanese Nights".
