Fried chicken fans in Abu Dhabi, get ready for something different. A new eatery called Kew’s is landing in Yas Mall on 17 April, and it’s not your average chicken joint. This newcomer comes from the team behind Sticky Rice, a Dubai favorite known for authentic Thai flavors.

Sticky Rice built a strong reputation from scratch — literally. It started as a home kitchen project and grew into a full restaurant loved by locals. Now, they’re expanding their horizons with Kew’s, aiming to give fried chicken a fresh twist.

So what makes Kew’s stand out? For one, it’s the first fried chicken spot in the Middle East to cook using 100% beef tallow — a natural fat known for adding a rich, savory depth to food. It’s a throwback method that’s making a modern comeback, and Kew’s is betting on it to set their chicken apart.

But the menu doesn’t stop at just fried chicken. There’s plenty more delicius options to try:

The name “Kew’s” is a playful nod to Sticky Rice’s yellow duck mascot, adding a bit of heart and personality to the brand. And behind the scenes, this launch also honors the memory of Amena Rakkuson, the co-founder of Sticky Rice who passed away in 2021. Her journey — from cooking at home to building a popular restaurant — continues through this new chapter.
