Khairat is one of the most well-known composers in the region, with a career that’s been going strong for over 40 years. He’s behind the music for more than 120 film and TV productions, and his instrumental pieces mix classical, jazz, and Arabic influences in a way that’s instantly recognisable.
Even if you don’t know him by name, chances are you’ve heard some of his work, like “Leilet al quabd al Fatma,” “Khali Balak Men Aklak,” or “Zay El Hawa 1.”
Over the years, he and his orchestra have performed in London, Muscat, Doha, and across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, including places like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Morocco. He also played at the opening of the New Suez Canal in Egypt in 2015.
