Saudi Arabia is set to welcome dusitD2 Al Ahsa, a brand-new luxury resort from Thailand’s firm Dusit International. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2027 and will be located in the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al Ahsa Oasis — a region famous for its picturesque landscapes and cultural significance.
The resort will be situated just 30 minutes from Al Ahsa International Airport and 90 minutes from Dammam. Designed by El Ghoneimi Architects from Cairo, the hotel takes inspiration from the desert landscape and the natural beauty of the surrounding oasis, which is home to over two and a half million palm trees.

The resort will feature 120 suites with one, two, and three-bedroom options. Each suite will come with a private terrace and a plunge pool, offering guests an extra touch of luxury and privacy. Guests will have access to an all-day restaurant and a lobby café that will serve light bites.
The resort will feature a wellness centre, meditation areas, and spaces for yoga. Guests can also enjoy holistic healing sessions, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. For families, there will be an outdoor swimming pool, a children’s pool, and a kids’ club, ensuring fun for all ages.

The resort also caters to business travellers with a 1,500-square-metre ballroom, an outdoor event lawn, and multiple meeting rooms for corporate events and gatherings.
A short drive from Al Ahsa, another large-scale project is in progress – Global City Dammam. This new destination will feature international pavilions and food markets, adding to the Kingdom’s already impressive lineup of tourist attractions.
