If you’re in Dubai on Sunday, February 8, and plan to drive, your travel plans may be disrupted. Burj2Burj Half Marathon will cause significant road closures across the city during the early morning hours. To make sure you’re not caught off guard, here’s everything you need to know, including the map and timings for the closures.
The race starts at 6:30 AM near the Museum of the Future on Al Mustaqbal Street and finishes at Umm Suqeim Park by the Burj Al Arab. You can check the map with the full route of Burj2Burj Half Marathon 2026 below:

If planning to drive in the city on Sunday morning, check out the timings of road closures and restrictions:
- From 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM, closures will be in place on:
- Al Mustaqbal Street (southbound from Jumeirah Emirates Towers)
- Lower Financial Centre Street (westbound inner lanes)
- Al Safa Street (partial westbound closure)
- Al Wasl Road (northbound inner lane partially closed)
- No left turns onto Al Hudaiba Road
- Between 6:30 AM and 9:20 AM, Jumeirah Beach Road will be partially closed southbound before the Canal Bridge, and after the Canal Bridge, a full southbound closure will occur until 8:25 AM.
- From 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, there will be controlled access in the Al Manara and Umm Al Sheif areas, with traffic marshals managing access points as runners pass.
Expect most roads to reopen by 9:30 AM, but timing could vary depending on how the race progresses.
