If you’ve ever wanted to try one of New York’s most talked-about noodles, you won’t have to travel for it too far. Momofuku is opening in Abu Dhabi in 2026. The restaurant will be located at Saadiyat Grove, an upcoming destination in the cultural heart of Saadiyat Island.
Momofuku started in New York in 2004, when David Chang opened a casual noodle bar. Since then, he has picked up six James Beard Awards, appeared on the Time 100 list, and expanded Momofuku to eight locations across the US.
One reason the brand caught so much attention came down to the noodles. A longer air-drying method gives them a better bite, plus zero cholesterol, higher protein, and fewer calories than standard instant options.
With the opening still a few months away, not many details have been shared yet, including the menu. Other Momofuku locations offer a clear hint of what could be coming: crispy lamb ribs, garlic chicken ramen, ginger scallion noodles, and five-spice roasted duck.
While waiting for Momofuku to open, there’s already something new to check out in Abu Dhabi. 1927 private club is opening to the public this May, giving visitors a limited window to experience the space before it becomes members-only.
