Dubai’s Al Qudra Street is set for a major transformation as part of a AED 798 million development by RTA. Once completed, travel time along the key route will change — from almost 10 minutes to less than 3. This upgrade will improve traffic flow and accommodate growing demand from surrounding communities.

The project spans 11.6 km and includes multiple new bridges, adding 2.7 km of elevated roadways to improve intersections and reduce bottlenecks. The project is expected to improve daily commutes for around 400,000 people, serving key residential areas such as Arabian Ranches 1 and 2, Dubai Motor City, Dubai Studio City, Akoya, Mudon, Damac Hills, and the Sustainable City.

Here’s a video presentation from RTA of what’s coming:

One of the major highlights of Al Qudra Street project is the construction of several new bridges that will significantly improve traffic in the city:

  • A 600m bridge linking Arabian Ranches to Dubai Studio City with four lanes in each direction.
  • A 700m bridge at the Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street intersection, featuring seven lanes in both directions.
  • Two additional bridges (500m and 900m) to facilitate smoother traffic flow towards Jebel Ali and Dubai International Airport.

According to RTA’s Director-General, Mattar Al Tayer, Al Qudra Street project is a critical step in enhancing Dubai’s road network. It aims to boost capacity, improve travel speed, and make it easier for residents to move efficiently between major areas.
