One of the standout events is the exhibition by Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi at Concrete, curated by Nada Raza. His work blends video, photography, painting, and installation to create stunning visuals that explore the rich history of South Asian cities, combining traditional Mughal and Sikh architecture with modern elements.

In addition, new public art pieces will be on display at Alserkal Avenue, inspired by Emirati poet Nujoom Alghanem’s work, “Between a Beach and Slope.” The art includes an eye-catching light sculpture by Indian artist Shilpa Gupta and Hector Zamora’s performance-installation, Existence-emitting Movements, where performers interact with objects in a dynamic and immersive way.

Alserkal Art Week will also feature Majlis Talks, a series of discussions led by curator Stephanie Bailey. These talks will bring together artists to explore and debate the art scene in the UAE and beyond.

Various galleries will showcase their latest works during the week, including Efie Gallery, featuring Cuban artist Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, who explores themes of migration, and Zawyeh Gallery, which will present British-Palestinian artist Bashir Makhoul’s latest pieces.

On top of all the exhibitions, Alserkal Art Week will host live workshops, film screenings, and other events, offering visitors a full cultural experience. Most exhibitions are free to attend, so you can explore without breaking the bank. And if you need a break, don’t forget to stop by local spots like Bkry, LILA Molino, and Nightjar Coffee Roasters for a tasty bite.

Alserkal Art Week 2025 is set to be an unforgettable event for art lovers in Dubai, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this exciting celebration of contemporary creativity!
